Logistics company FedEx and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) have jointly carried out India’s first intra-city drone delivery trials in Bengaluru. The trials tested the use of drones to move parcels within a city, an approach that could shorten delivery times and ease road congestion in crowded urban areas.
