The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced nine decisions to strengthen internal governance, technology oversight and electoral roll management. Meeting agendas will be shared in advance and minutes recorded, while foreign visits by ECI officers will need Commission approval. New IT modules and digital portals will be scrutinised by a committee, and an independent IIT or IIIT expert will review ECINet. Field officers get wider system access for roll work. The ECI also clarified that Form 6 under the Registration of Electors Rules can be used outside the Special Intensive Revision period, directing inclusion of 81 verified voters in Goa.
