India's first indigenously developed quantum-safe algorithm, created by Pune-based Fortytwo Labs, has received C-SAFE recognition from the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). C-SAFE stands for Cryptographic Security Assessment and Functional Evaluation and is India's first independent programme for evaluating cryptography, developed by DSCI. The recognition was announced at FINSEC 2026 in Mumbai. Quantum-safe algorithms are designed to keep data secure even against attacks from future quantum computers.
