Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated two new public facilities. The first is the renovated Poompuhar tourism complex at Poompuhar in Mayiladuthurai district, the historic port town of the Chola era. The second is an eco-park developed around Navalur Lake inside the SIPCOT (State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited) campus at Siruseri in Chengalpattu district. Both projects form part of the State's push to upgrade heritage and nature-based tourism and to provide green public spaces near growing industrial and IT hubs.
