The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has released new cybersecurity guidelines for space systems, including satellite communication. The guidelines cover four segments: the Space Segment (satellite and payload), the Ground Segment (mission control and ground stations), the User Segment (terminals and devices), and Communication Links (uplink and downlink). With more private players entering India's space sector, the rules aim to protect every link in the chain from cyber threats.
