Tamil Nadu Police have launched a new website linked to CCTNS 2.0 (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems) to offer police services digitally. Unlike before, third parties and the general public can no longer view or download First Information Reports (FIRs); only the accused, the victim or the complainant can do so. The portal is integrated with the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), allowing real-time data sharing with courts, forensic laboratories, prisons and prosecution. The e-Sakshya and e-Summon applications handle digital evidence and electronic delivery of summons. Users must register with a mobile number and email ID.
