Bengaluru-based defence startup Flying Wedge Defence & Aerospace (FWDA) has unveiled FWD Supreme Lite, billed as India's first AI-piloted fighter aircraft programme. Designed and developed in India, it is a 250-kg-class flight technology demonstrator to test technologies for future autonomous combat aircraft. It is going through airframe development, system integration and ground testing, with the maiden flight targeted for Q3 2026. The broader FWD Supreme family follows the company's 'Mobbing Doctrine', centred on AI-enabled autonomous combat operations.
