A healthy female calf of the Badri breed was successfully born in Uttarakhand using Ovum Pick-Up and In Vitro Fertilization (OPU-IVF) technology. Badri cattle are an indigenous breed adapted to the mountainous terrain of Uttarakhand, and the technique can help conserve and multiply such native breeds.
