A Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (DST) study reconstructed a 4,500-year climate record from Kondagai inland lake in Sivaganga district, identifying the 4.2 ka arid event and 3.2 ka dry phase to support water management and disaster-risk planning in Tamil Nadu.
