India has unveiled 'Suryastra', its first indigenous Universal Rocket Launching System with a reach of 300 km, at Shirdi in Maharashtra. Suryastra is a precision-guided rocket system that can strike targets at ranges of 150 km and 300 km. The system adds long-range precision strike capability to India's artillery and is a step towards self-reliance in defence equipment.
