The second edition of the ASEAN-India Maritime Exercise, named AIME-2026, has commenced at Subic Bay in the Philippines. The Indian Navy is taking part with two ships, INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish. The exercise brings the Indian Navy together with the maritime forces of member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), building on the first edition of the drill. It is intended to deepen naval cooperation and interoperability between India and the ASEAN grouping in the region, with the Philippines hosting this round at Subic Bay.
