Kerala has introduced the Right to Disconnect Bill, 2025, for private-sector employees. It would let them ignore work calls, emails, messages and online meetings after working hours without facing any penalty or disciplinary action. If passed, Kerala would be the first Indian state with such a law. France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Belgium already have similar rules.
