Tamil Nadu has emerged as India's leading textile exporter in FY 2024–25, overtaking Gujarat and Maharashtra by total export value.
- The State's textile exports were worth about $7.99 billion, having grown by around 29% over the last four years.
- Tamil Nadu accounts for 21.84% of India's total textile exports of about $36.61 billion.
- Gujarat is second with $5.64 billion, followed by Maharashtra with $3.83 billion.
