The 2nd BRICS 2026 Tourism Working Group Meeting was held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, hosted by the Union Ministry of Tourism under India’s BRICS Chairship. Its four priority areas were AI and Tourism; Sustainable and Responsible Tourism; Tourism Skilling and Capacity Building; and Tourism Exchanges and Seamless Travel Facilitation. The first meeting had been held virtually on 25 May 2026. The BRICS Tourism Ministers’ Meeting that followed adopted, by consensus, the BRICS Tourism Ministers’ Communiqué 2026, called the Jaipur Declaration. It sets a framework for cooperation in AI-enabled and sustainable tourism, skills and seamless travel, and encourages tourism investment, infrastructure and people-to-people ties.
