West Bengal has become the 36th State to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), completing the scheme's coverage across the entire country. AB-PMJAY provides health insurance cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family every year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. With West Bengal joining, eligible families in every part of India can now access cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals under the scheme.
