The Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy released the Judicial Transparency Index Report, which rates the transparency of the Supreme Court and High Courts based on their official websites. The index was created in 2025 under the JALDI (Justice, Access and Lowering Delays in India) Initiative.
It assesses judicial processes, institutional governance and administration, and personnel. Gaps flagged include undisclosed recusal criteria, no Supreme Court live-streaming guidelines and thin budget disclosures. No High Court has published complete asset declarations of all its judges.
