The UPSC notification for the Civil Services Examination 2026 introduces 14 significant changes. Applications now follow a four-stage online process covering account creation, a Universal Registration Number (URN), a Common Application Form and an exam-specific module. Candidates must upload a live photograph and signature and complete Aadhaar verification, and no edits or withdrawals are allowed after submission. Face authentication at exam centres becomes compulsory, admit cards are online, and service eligibility is restricted for IAS, IFS and IPS aspirants. A shorter window for question-paper representations, PwBD centre-allocation rules and mandatory post-Prelims and post-Mains logins are also included.
