Stanford University mathematician Sarah Peluse has been announced as the winner of the 2026 SASTRA-Ramanujan Award. The prize was instituted in 2005 by SASTRA (Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy). It honours young mathematicians aged 32 years or below who have made outstanding contributions in fields influenced by Srinivasa Ramanujan. The age limit reflects the fact that Ramanujan lived only 32 years.
