Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh is set to host Asia's first Telecom Manufacturing Zone (TMZ), with an estimated investment of ₹5,500 crore. The zone is meant to bring telecom equipment makers together in one location, encouraging domestic production of network and communication hardware. Such a cluster is expected to create jobs, attract investment and support India's goal of building a self-reliant telecom manufacturing ecosystem.
