The Roadmap for Viksit Krishi was released on 16 July 2026 at the 98th Foundation Day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), as a key pillar of Viksit Bharat 2047. It aims to make Indian farming climate-resilient, technology-led and globally competitive. Its seven goals are: 100 Climate Smart Villages, One Institute–One Grand Innovation, technology outreach to 100 million farmers, Mission ICAR-100, the ICAR Open Digital Knowledge Platform, control of counterfeit seeds and pesticides, and ₹10,000 crore resource generation by 2029. Mission ICAR-100 will turn Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) into innovation, climate advisory and farmer support centres, while the digital platform will offer free crop advisories, weather forecasts, soil testing and market information.
