Premier Energies has commissioned a 7 GW N-type TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cell facility at Naidupeta in Andhra Pradesh, the largest such unit in India. With this plant, the company's total solar cell manufacturing capacity rises to 10.6 GW, the highest in the country. TOPCon is an advanced cell technology that offers higher efficiency than conventional cells. The facility strengthens domestic solar manufacturing and reduces dependence on imported cells.
