'Nagauri Paan Methi' has been registered as a Community Farmers' Variety by the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Authority (PPVFRA). It is a traditional variety of fenugreek cultivated in Nagaur district, and its scientific name is Trigonella corniculata L. Registration as a community variety formally recognises the role of local farming communities in conserving and developing the crop, and protects their rights over this traditional plant variety.
