The Prime Minister inaugurated the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu in Guwahati, a 2.86-km six-lane extradosed bridge across the Brahmaputra built for about ₹3,030 crore. Linking Guwahati and North Guwahati, it is the Northeast's first extradosed bridge. He also opened the region's first Emergency Landing Facility, a 4.2-km highway stretch on the Moran Bypass in Dibrugarh district developed with the Indian Air Force, usable by fighter and transport aircraft.
