Pixxel and Sarvam Developing Pathfinder, India's First Orbital Data Centre Satellite

Save
Space-tech firm Pixxel and AI company Sarvam are jointly developing Pathfinder, India's first orbital data centre satellite. The satellite belongs to the 200 kg class and is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026. Instead of sending all raw data down to the ground for processing, an orbital data centre processes information in space itself. The mission aims to enable real-time data processing for environmental monitoring, resource management and tracking of infrastructure, cutting the delay between capturing images and acting on them.
