Indian enforcement agencies have carried out the country’s first-ever seizure of the drug Captagon, valued at about ₹182 crore, under an operation named Operation RAGEPILL. The seized consignment was bound for the Middle East. The case is India’s first recorded interception of this drug and shows the role of Indian agencies in breaking up trafficking networks that try to use the country as a transit point for narcotics headed to other regions.
