Digitizing Indian Shooting: NRAI’s 75th Year Milestone
Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, attended the 75th anniversary of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on April 27, 2026, at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, New Delhi.
Key Initiatives Launched:
- MyNRAI Athlete App: A first-of-its-kind digital platform that makes NRAI India’s first fully digitized sports federation. It will manage athlete profiles, scores, and tournament registrations.
- Grassroots Experience: NRAI announced a massive outreach to introduce 7.5 lakh school and college students to shooting through a "10-shot experience" program before the 2028 Olympics.
- Commemorative Logo: A new logo was unveiled to mark seven and a half decades of excellence in Indian shooting sports.
For Sports and Technology aspirants, this marks a significant shift toward digital governance in national sports bodies.
