National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has introduced a new aluminium alloy ingot of the IA91 grade. NALCO is a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise, a status given to large public sector companies that allows them greater financial and operational autonomy. An alloy ingot is a cast block of aluminium mixed with other elements, supplied to industries that shape it into finished products. The launch widens NALCO's range of value-added products and supports domestic manufacturers who need specialised aluminium grades.
