Indian Army launches 'Bharat Rice' for personnel, signs MoU with Food Corporation of India

Save

The Indian Army has introduced 'Bharat Rice' for its defence personnel and entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to bolster military logistics. Under the arrangement, the Army expects better quality rations for its troops and dependable, on-time delivery of food stocks to forward areas, where supply lines are often difficult to maintain. By tying ration procurement directly to FCI, the initiative is intended to make the food supply chain more reliable and, in turn, strengthen the operational readiness of the Army. The move links the national public food agency with the armed forces' supply system.
