Two state celebrations were held in March 2026:
- Chapchar Kut: Mizoram's spring festival showcases Mizo culture and marks the completion of forest clearing for jhum (shifting) cultivation.
- Bihar Diwas 2026: Celebrated from 22 to 24 March under the theme ‘Unnat Bihar, Ujjwal Bihar’. It commemorates the formation of Bihar on 22 March 1912, when it was separated from the Bengal Presidency.
State festivals and foundation days are frequently asked in TNPSC Group examinations.
