The Union Minister for Rural Development launched Mission Samriddh Gaon, an integrated rural development framework that brings Central and State welfare schemes together to improve basic amenities and livelihoods. Pilots will run in Budni block of Sehore district and Khategaon block of Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh. The mission promotes integrated farming, women farmers' enterprises, rural infrastructure, warehouses, cold chains and village-level processing. It aims to build self-reliant, poverty-free and economically vibrant villages and to curb distress migration from rural to urban areas.
