A Megalithic burial complex with several dolmens and cist burials has been found at Kadamakuttai village in Krishnagiri district. Its enclosing wall is still visible and the monuments follow a planned layout. Neolithic finds include polished stone celts, soapstone objects and grinding stones, and a large boulder carries three polishing grooves used to finish stone tools. Clay figurines, rubbing stones, urn-burial fragments and an isolated dolmen were also recorded. Krishnagiri has over 200 documented Megalithic sites, and Kadamakuttai shows a cultural sequence from the Neolithic to the present.
