Madhya Pradesh has declared 2026 its 'Year of Agriculture', with the theme 'Prosperous Farmers - Prosperous State'. The State's budget for agriculture and allied activities has grown from ₹600 crore in 2002-03 to more than ₹27,000 crore in 2024-25. A digital e-Mandi electronic market system has been introduced so that farmers get transparent prices and fairer trade. The year-long observance is intended to focus State policy and spending on raising farm incomes and modernising agriculture.
