Karnataka Emerges Overall Champion at Khelo India Tribal Games 2026

The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games (KITG) 2026 concluded in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, with Karnataka being crowned the overall champions. The event was a major initiative by the Sports Authority of India to identify and nurture sporting talent from tribal communities across the nation.

  • 1st Place: Karnataka dominated the standings with a total of 38 medals (23 Gold, 8 Silver, 7 Bronze).

 

  • 2nd Place: Odisha finished second with 57 total medals (21 Gold, 15 Silver, 21 Bronze).

 

  • 3rd Place: Jharkhand secured the third spot with 16 gold medals.
