The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has introduced the Information Technology Resilience Index (ITRI) for Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs). It will rate IT systems on nine parameters such as availability, security, integrity, governance, reliability, business continuity and scalability, with availability and security each weighted at 20%. MIIs must build an Early Warning System (EWS) to spot IT risks and compute ITRI every six months. Full implementation, including EWS and real-time monitoring, is due by 28 February 2027.
