The Integrated Fertilizer Management System (iFMS) has moved into a new phase with digital tools aimed at greater transparency, better fertilizer availability and tighter supply-chain monitoring. New dashboards track production, imports, dispatches, movement, stocks and retail sales at national, State, district and retailer levels. iFMS covers over 14 crore Aadhaar-linked buyers, more than 2.5 lakh retailers and about 7 crore metric tonnes of fertilizer transactions every year. It analyses purchases by buyer category, landholding, crop, district and fertilizer type, and helps administer nearly ₹2 lakh crore in annual fertilizer subsidies.
