India's first fully indigenous AK-203 'Sher' assault rifle has been successfully manufactured and test-fired at the Korwa Ordnance Facility in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. The rifle is produced by Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL), a joint venture between India and Russia set up in 2019.
