The Indian Navy is hosting Operation Southern Readiness 26-2, a four-day multinational training exercise focused on maritime security, at the Southern Naval Command (SNC) in Kochi, Kerala. The exercise is being conducted in collaboration with the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF), a naval partnership of more than 40 countries that works to counter threats such as piracy and smuggling at sea. Hosting the drill allows participating navies to share procedures, improve coordination and strengthen collective security in the Indian Ocean region.
