The Indian Navy hosted the IONS Maritime Exercise (IMEX) Table-Top Exercise (TTX) 2026 at Kochi in Kerala. IONS refers to the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium, a forum that brings together the navies of countries in the Indian Ocean region. The table-top format allows participating navies to work through scenarios together and plan coordinated responses. The exercise was organised to deepen maritime cooperation among member navies and improve collective preparedness for challenges at sea in the region.
