The Indian Army has introduced Xtreme Weather Grade (XWG) Diesel, an indigenously developed fuel that can operate in extreme cold down to –42°C.
Ordinary diesel can thicken or freeze at very low temperatures, which affects vehicles and generators. The new fuel will help keep equipment running in high-altitude and snow-bound areas where troops are deployed.
