The Indian Army is hosting its first multilateral exercise, 'Pragati', at Umroi in Meghalaya, with participation from 11 countries. Pragati stands for Partnership of Regional Armies for Growth and Transformation in the Indian Ocean Region. The exercise aims to improve interoperability, coordination and defence cooperation among the participating armies.
