Exercise Vajra Ghaat was staged by the Indian Army at the Pokhran Field Firing Range in Rajasthan to demonstrate how combat-ready the K9 Vajra self-propelled artillery gun is in desert conditions. The K9 Vajra is an India-built tracked howitzer, and the exercise put its mobility and firepower to the test in the demanding environment of the Thar. The drill also showed the role the gun can play in backing mechanised forces during operations across arid and sandy terrain.
