India has unveiled its first shipping container built to EXIM (Export-Import) grade standards. The launch took place at the Maersk–CONCOR Inland Container Depot located in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh.

  • EXIM-grade containers are those suitable for carrying export and import cargo in international trade.
  • The facility at Dadri is operated jointly by shipping company Maersk and the Container Corporation of India (CONCOR).
  • Inland Container Depots act as dry ports where cargo is handled and cleared away from the seacoast.
