India Tests DRDO's Long-Range Hypersonic Anti-Ship Missile with 1,500 km Range

Save
India has successfully tested a long-range hypersonic anti-ship missile developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The missile can strike targets more than 1,500 km away and travel at speeds of up to Mach 10, that is ten times the speed of sound. It relies on a hypersonic glide vehicle, which gives it both very high speed and the ability to manoeuvre in flight, helping it evade enemy radar. The test strengthens India's maritime strike capability and places the country among the few nations with hypersonic weapon technology.
