Save
India and New Zealand have signed a Free Trade Agreement under which New Zealand will give 100% duty-free access to Indian exports, benefiting MSMEs, textiles and leather. New Zealand will also invest USD 20 billion in India as FDI over 15 years. India has opened 70% of its tariff lines while excluding 30% to protect sensitive sectors such as dairy, sugar and farmers. The pact includes Rules of Origin to prevent misuse, visa provisions for students and skilled workers, and promotion of AYUSH. In the last three and a half years India has also signed FTAs with Mauritius, the UAE, Australia, EFTA, the UK, the EU and Oman.
