Vijaypat Singhania, the former chairman of the Raymond group, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 87. A recipient of the Padma Bhushan, he was widely known not only as an industrialist but also for his achievements in aviation. Among these was a world record for the highest altitude reached in a hot air balloon.
