C.D. Gopinath, a former Indian cricketer, has passed away at the age of 96. He was part of the Indian side that recorded the country's first-ever victory in Test cricket in 1952. That historic win came against England, and the match was played in Chennai. As one of the last surviving links to that landmark moment, Gopinath held a special place in the history of Indian cricket.
