ICGS Akshay, a new-generation Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV), has been commissioned into the Indian Coast Guard, known as Bharatiya Tatrakshak. The commissioning took place at Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) in Goa, where the vessel was built. The new ship adds to the Coast Guard's capacity to patrol and protect India's coastal waters.
