The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) released the Asia and the Pacific SDG Progress Report 2026. It projects that the region will miss 103 of 117 measurable SDG targets by 2030, with just 14 on track, or about 88% likely to be missed. Climate action, marine conservation and biodiversity show serious regression, while performance on industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9) is relatively strong.
