The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to launch the E-PRAAPTI portal, short for EPF Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts. It will help members trace, link and reactivate old EPF accounts using Aadhaar-based authentication for secure access. A PF account turns inactive when no contribution is made for 36 months or when it is not linked to a Universal Account Number (UAN), the 12-digit number allotted to employees since 2014.
