On April 29, 2026, DRDO and the Indian Navy successfully conducted the maiden salvo launch of the Naval Anti-Ship MissileโShort Range (NASM-SR) off the coast of Odisha. This trial demonstrated India's capability to launch advanced air-to-sea missiles in quick succession.
